Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players attain five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the casino. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with a figure on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays cash equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
