Poker Aces – discover how to bet them
Posted in Poker on 04/05/2010 05:21 am by SkylaPoker Aces references two aces being dealt before theflop. It is the strongest attainable before theflop hand intexas hold’em Poker. But despite this many bettors end up on the wrong end when given these cards.
When you’re dealt a set of Aces, you just don’t fold before theflop. You’re sitting with the greatest possible hand at this part of the round. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I would say absolutely no to that.
Always remember, you are trying to generate as much profit from this strong position. You need to maximise the possibility. Going all-in will actually scare most players into dropping out without placing a bet.
If you are in the initial seat (1st or 2nd to bet), you will make a single wager. Anyone with a decent hand will call, with hope a player will raise. If there has been a raise do not hop to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
After the flop your strategy will be to eliminate anyone that might be able to build a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you are fortunate you’ll fool one player into thinking that you’re faking it.
If you are in the center or late seat (one of the last to place a wager) you will observe as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you’re holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players drop out after the flop. If you do not get rid of your adversaries you risk squandering your hand.
