Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only gambler to achieve final poker table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest gamblers around the world. While gambling on internet poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He frequently competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus generally buys in for the min of $16, 000 and gambles very poorly. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all in. I know Gus is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has absolutely no reason to play at the table with the min buy in.
